About Me

Hi, I'm Kimberly...Welcome!! I spend all day prying into the lives of others and now that the shoe is on the other foot I am at a loss for words. I am a therapist by profession, a family therapist at that. As I grow professionally I realize that a family therapist is not just about what I do, it's who I am. I see people, things, and situations, not just for who/what they are but for the relationships they are a part of. One of the greatest lessons I learned in m academic development is that I am greatly impacted by my location in the world. Not just my physical location, but the fact that I'm Black, college educated, a woman, a non-denominational Christian; ect. ect. Every post that I make will be impacted by my "location," and it is my desire to push people to consider the life of those who are from a different "location" than them. You don't have to agree with someone else's perspective and you don't have to accept it; but we do ourselves a disservice if we live with blinders, as if our way is the only way. So, there you have it, I hope you stick around, read some, share some, and join me on my journey to share myself in order to gain knowledge about others.
